A comfortable space to write, rehearse or just hang out is essential.  This year we added a second studio to the mix. On the left is the incubator studio for new ideas or just a stripped down rehearsal.  It also doubles as a painting studio.  Hopefully what happens in here will translate to the studio on the right where we get a bit louder.  More often than not this is where songs go to die.  If you want to write anything worthwhile then you’ll be dealing with a high mortality rate.  I’ll spend days on a song in the studio on the left but once it hits the big room I’ll know within seconds whether it’s shit or not.  We’ve been throwing lots of new ideas against the walls in here and there is definitely something starting to take shape.
